With an opening rate of just 30% for emails sent across all industries, the goal is clear: write a compelling and actionable message that prompts the recipient to connect with you.
That's why having a good sales email template can be the difference between closing a deal and missing an opportunity.
What Should an Email Survey Template Be Like?
Now we briefly explain the key points to consider when creating a template for a cold sales email:
1. Personalization
Your name already appears in the signature and the head of the email; there's no need to say “I am such and such.” Use the beginning of the email to provide context and connect with your prospects.
2. Simplification
Long and complicated emails are easier to ignore. A quick glance, and the prospect's head is overwhelmed.
That's why you should keep your message simple and to the point.
Offer one idea and guide the prospect to obtain more information, avoiding data overload.
3. Subject Line
The critical element of the sales email (and any email).
You should know that 47% of recipients open emails based on the subject line, and 69% report emails as spam for the same reason, so be careful.
A subject line can determine whether your email is read, ignored, or marked as spam.
What could be a good subject line?
“{Name}, this might interest you”
“Do you have 15 minutes?”
“{Common contact} said you might be interested in this”
“Can we talk?”
4. Call to Action (CTA)
After reading your email, the prospect should know exactly what to do.
Whether it's replying to the email, calling by phone, or scheduling a meeting, including a clear CTA is crucial to guide the prospect towards the action we desire.
5. Follow-up
Finally, if you don't receive a response, it's not the end.
A non-response doesn't automatically mean disinterest.
Follow-up is crucial to continue the conversation. Consider doing it at least two or three times, bearing in mind that the potential customer may not have received the email or may not yet be motivated to take action.
